My husband danced and rejoiced. My children whooped and hollered.
"Spring has surely sprung! Hallelujah!" they declared.
The source of all this glee? I, the wife and mother of the household, put away the space heater and allowed the use of portable room fans. My husband nearly wept for joy when I unplugged the heating pad, removed it from our bed, wrapped the cord up, and stored it in the linen closet.
I have not, however, conceded to using the central air conditioner.

This one made me smile Heather.. of course it looks like winter is trying to make one last run at us :(
Heather, on the Chesapeake Bay the water is changing color everyday and some fish are already here. The grass is growing, trees are budding but the temperature begs for the things you put away. This morning with a north wind at 20 MPH it was down right cold. But we are happy the sun is shining. Best, John
I thought Spring had Sprung when my wife took the flannel sheets off the bed. Nope - not yet. I sure miss those flannel sheets.

I'm with you, Ralph! Although I haven't changed my mind about the heating pad in bed, I still have 2 comforters, and I've added a fuzzy fleece blanket under the sheets as well. :o)
You're right. Spring sure is nice. And I sure will be glad when it gets here, too.
